Darren was born and raised on his family property in Morawa, where his relatives continue to farm today. He graduated from Curtin University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Commerce (Property) and has since built a distinguished career spanning over 30 years in real estate and valuation across Western Australia, from Nannup in the south to the Ord River Irrigation Area in the north.

 

Darren began his career as a graduate valuer with the Valuer General's Office in 1993, spending over 14 years in rural valuations in various roles. He has contributed to numerous high-profile projects, including the initial valuation of Ord Stage II in collaboration with the Department of Resources Development and the Pastoral Rents Project for the Department of Land Administration. Over the years, Darren has continued to provide consultancy services to Landgate on a range of significant initiatives.

 

With extensive rural agency experience, Darren has held sales management and corporate business management roles with Australia’s leading pastoral houses. He has also successfully established and operated a thriving rural agency business. Over the past 25 years, Darren has personally overseen the sale of major rural aggregations and has played a key role in marketing and selling farming and pastoral properties valued at over $500 million across the state.
